Here at Civis Analytics, we have so much to be thankful for. In particular, I’m thankful for the opportunity to work with nonprofits — that’s why I’m excited to announce that starting this Giving Tuesday, we’re accepting entries to the second-annual Ask America Anything contest.
We’re giving away two questions on our weekly survey of Americans, as well as an analysis of the results in context of key demographics. In 300 words or fewer, tell us about your nonprofit organization, the questions you’d like to ask, and how you would use the results to take action.
The criteria are simple: We’ll look at how appropriate your questions are to your organization’s stated mission; the likelihood that the survey responses will be helpful to your organization; and the clarity of expression in your submission.
We started this contest last year because we wanted to give back. In our nonprofit practice, we work with a variety of nonprofits, from national to local, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the College Board, and the robotics competition group US First. We read lots of great applications, and ultimately chose to award the prize to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, an organization that provides free, confidential support, and advocates policies that protect people from domestic violence. To learn more about our work with the National Domestic Violence Hotline, read this blog post we wrote on the results.
If you work at a nonprofit, you too can win a chance to Ask America Anything — for free! Read the official Ask America Anything contest rules and enter to win today. At the very latest, apply before midnight on Friday, December 9. We’ll contact the winner on or before Monday, December 19.
Thanks for your interest in the Ask America Anything contest, but as of now the contest has ended. Stay tuned to hear about the winning submission.
